As Seen On

You've Done The Hard Work. Time For the Finishing Touch.

You can do everything right — eat well, train consistently, stay disciplined — and still have areas that refuse to change. That is not a failure. It is biology. Certain fat deposits are genetically resistant to diet and exercise, and no amount of either will reshape them.

Liposuction removes those fat cells permanently and sculpts the area to match the rest of your body. The goal is not a different body. It is the one you have already been building, with the stubborn parts finally caught up.

What Makes SmoothLipo Different

SmoothLipo is Dr. Schwartz's signature liposuction technique, designed for smoother contours, gentler recovery, and results that look natural.

Sculpted to Your Frame

SmoothLipo lets Dr. Schwartz sculpt specific areas with precision, reducing volume where you want it gone while preserving the proportions that make your body yours. The result looks natural because it is: your frame, refined. Common treatment areas include the abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms, chin, and back.

Gentler on Your Body

SmoothLipo uses lymphatic-sparing techniques that Dr. Schwartz developed through his work treating complex fat disorders. By preserving nerves, blood vessels, and lymphatic vessels during fat removal, patients heal faster and experience less bruising and swelling than traditional liposuction.

Back to Your Routine, Faster

Most SmoothLipo patients are back to daily activities within days. Dr. Schwartz uses TIVA anesthesia, a gentler IV-only approach with no breathing tube, which means less nausea, less grogginess, and a significantly smoother recovery. Many patients are out to dinner the next evening.

Meet Dr. Jaime Schwartz, MD, FACS

Board-Certified Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon

Dr. Schwartz has spent over 20 years refining body contouring techniques. He trained at Georgetown University School of Medicine, completed a fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, and was recruited as Chief of Plastic Surgery to build a hospital's body contouring program from scratch.

His SmoothLipo technique grew out of his work treating lipedema patients, where preserving lymphatic vessels during fat removal is critical. He brought that same precision and care to cosmetic liposuction, and the difference shows in the results and the recovery. He has developed national guidelines for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and is the surgeon other plastic surgeons turn to for education on body contouring.

Frequently Asked Questions

What areas can liposuction treat?

SmoothLipo can target virtually any area with stubborn fat deposits. The most common treatment areas are the abdomen, flanks (love handles), thighs, upper arms, chin, and back. Dr. Schwartz can also treat smaller areas like the knees, calves, and ankles. During your consultation, he will evaluate your specific concerns and recommend a plan tailored to your body.

Is liposuction a weight loss procedure?

No. Liposuction is a contouring procedure, not a weight loss tool. It is most effective for patients who are at or near their goal weight but have specific fat deposits that will not respond to diet and exercise. The fat cells removed are gone permanently, but maintaining your results depends on a stable weight and healthy lifestyle afterward.

What makes SmoothLipo different from traditional liposuction?

SmoothLipo uses lymphatic-sparing techniques that preserve nerves, blood vessels, and lymphatic vessels during fat removal. This approach, developed through Dr. Schwartz's work with complex fat disorder patients, results in less bruising, less swelling, and a faster recovery. Combined with TIVA anesthesia (no breathing tube, less nausea), most patients are back to their routine within days rather than weeks.

How long do results last?

The fat cells removed during liposuction are gone for good. As long as you maintain a stable weight, your results are permanent. Significant weight gain after the procedure can cause remaining fat cells to expand, but the treated areas will always be more contoured than they were before surgery.

Your effort deserves results to match.
